Thank you, Neil. The only photo of a grackle I’ve ever taken was at the beach, which didn’t seem to fit this poem, hence the borrowed photo from wikimedia commons. I actually wondered if you have ever photographed/ written a poem about a grackle.
This is not bad. It has its moments of good writing as far as poetry is concerned. I have to admit that I am not familiar with some of the creatures mentioned in the poem. I like this kind of diction.
