Such a cute photo of Mr. Jumping Jack Flash. My son Will and I have been watching a cat faced orb weaver right outside his bedroom window for the last couple weeks. We even plonked a recently deceased moth on the web. Amazing critters. Thanks

Loved this post. Helps me to move beyond my unreasoning fear of these creatures. Also, Every Note,a Lantern is such a beautiful gift. Each poem is a luminous gem . Thank you.

"...dreaming of his adventures from the window to the ceiling and the bathroom mirror."

Do you ever read something and it unexpectedly makes you tear up? But like the happy kind? This line did that for me. I'm a firm spider (and house centipede, they keep the spiders in check) relocator. But I'll often let them keep to the corners, or any good spots they find in this old New England house.

Always good to hear from a fellow spider keeper.

I thought I was strange for entertaining spider house guests but this makes me feel better about my weirdness, lol. Thinking of spiders dreaming only reinforces this penchant for letting them co-habitate 😊

Thanks for sharing that… and I don’t think there is anything strange about having empathy and respect for another living being, so carry on with your “weirdness.”

I had no idea spiders dreamed! So fascinating and more reason to allow spiders a place in my house.

The research is fascinating. So much we don’t know about our fellow companions here on earth.

I thoroughly love this, as spiders are one of my favorite animals! I love them, and love that I just learned what they dream about!!! 🕸️🕷️🥹
